Why mindful healing?
As we navigate our way through a rushed and competitive society, taking the time to slow down and connect with ourselves in a meaningful way takes intentional living. Cultivating skills that we can use daily such as self-compassion and mindfulness can open our hearts and minds. This allows us relate to ourselves and others in a more congruent and authentic way. One on one sessions are offered at our center, encouraging natural growth and allowing you to explore mindfulness, self-compassion and insight at your own pace.
The supportive environment created by a therapeutic relationship can transform pain into healing. As a clinician who is trained in compassion, I can provide a connected, safe setting to help foster growth. Mindfulness is the foundation for this understanding, without recognizing that we are hurting we are not able to reach out for support. It is our for us to remain mindful when we feel threatened, especially psychologically threatened.
I offer a safe, confidential, and caring environment where you can gently look into the areas of your life that you may want to strengthen. We will work closely with issues that we all carry such as hurt, shame, uncertainty, perfectionism and lowered self-worth. When working with these edges, we need to be open to the discomfort that may arise from looking inward. When we begin to understand our own pain and offer ourselves kindness we begin to allow ourselves to open to the courage to make lasting changes in our lives.
I am currently working under Minnesota board approved supervision to be recognized as an independent Licensed Professional Counselor.
